Still continuing on with Frances ...

Decided to work out some of the areas in one of the last two bands left.  I am teaching Japanese embroidery this weekend so will switch to other things after that....the really interesting parts and the reason this sampler intrigued me are left to do ... Lots to figure out which is really fun!

So beautiful. It must be wonderful to see such lovely results from your stitching. (Elaine in Australia)

Wow! So much stitching compacted into a little space. I esp. like the bullions? which create the little crosses in the centers.

I was sad to read you will be setting this sampler aside for a time, just when it was going to get really interesting! I hope it won't be for too long! I also want to say that I love that you are posting photos of your progress! Please be generous and include as many closeups and hints as you can! I was rather disappointed with the photographs and lack of detail that came with the chart. Photos of your work may make the difference between whether or not I can even hope to tackle this project! You are such an amazing stitcher! And fast too!!! Thank you so very much for sharing your work with us!

No bullions ... Just interwoven Wheels and picots at the edges... Lots of variations and challenging ways to use picots

Thank you Anita.... Just tackle this one band or smaller segment at a time and work at your pace - l am a rather slow stitcher just diligent to learn and refine a technique. I am not ever concerned about how long it takes or how fast I finish something... It is my hobby and I enjoy my time with needle and thread. My focus is to understand and learn more ...
Glad you find the pictures helpful... I used to post a lot more in the past and at a higher resolution using my digital camera...now I have been posting things more with my IPhone camera at a
lower megapixel ... I still think you can get the general idea of my stitching though.
