I had to "think" about the last band on Frances Cheyney...
My gut feeling on it was that there were nuances in technique that required some thought.
This also coincided with some bright, almost Spring like days so instead of just letting things sit
I decided to finish the over one stitching left on the verse of Ann Bowers instead...the colors mirrored the
warmer temperatures outside. I still have to decide if I want to incorporate my initials into the sampler but here is Ann Bowers by the Examplarery... The first finish of the year:
A dusting of snow outside matches the whitework of Frances ... Winter is trying to still hang on for just a bit longer. The time away from Frances was good - I was able to figure things out and returning to all the whitework on Frances while things are white outside once more..
Feels right....

What an amazing sampler Nupur. So glad the time 'off' Frances has sorted your thoughts. I look forward to seeing the results.
Blessings

Beautiful work! And can't wait to see what you decided about Frances.
This is really lovely work. You don't seem to have a thread for this sampler - what is the fabric, and what is the thread? The fabric is obviously a beautifully tightly woven evenweave and the thread has a lovely matt finish - the result is wonderful. Elaine in Australia

This is a kit from The Examplarery- Joanne Harvey reproduces samplers and uses the highest quality materials throughout; her instructions are some of the very best. This is stitched on 40ct. linen using AVAS silks. If you do not have. A source in Australia to get her kits, please do email. ... I can then find out from Joanne if she would ship to you or has a source nearby.
It may have a matt finish because I took these photos quickly at night with my iPhone not my digital camera ...glad you like the piece ... It is a very appealing piece and very relaxing and quick to stitch.
Beautiful!!
What a beautiful sampler! I too am a Joanne Harvey fan.
